CUSTOMER RESTORATION – 1974 Bally Bon Voyage (BI)
This is mostly a playfield and mechanical restoration. Exterior only had head frame repainted white, and legs repainted silver.
When the machine arrived the playfield glass had broken during its trip in from out of state. Needless to say shards of glass were everywhere on the playfield and all down into the relays, coils and switches. That was cleaned out first. Playfield was stripped, cleaned, polished then waxed. Almost all of the playfield plastic inserts were falling out. Had to refit and glue all back in place. Three inserts could not be found so new ones were installed then letters added to them. New playfield posts and rubber ring kit was added. Playfield plastics were cleaned and polished. Bumpers were rebuilt above and below the playfield with new parts. New flipper plastics were installed. Transformer was high-tapped for better game action. Jones plug connectors were cleaned. New incandescent bulbs were installed.
Switch contacts were cleaned and adjusted properly. Backglass was cleaned front and back. Backglass lift channel was sanded to remove rust then painted. Game plays extremely well.
