CUSTOMER RESTORATION – 1973 Williams Upper Deck Baseball (Pitch & Bat) (MM)

This is  fun pitch & bat game. These games are getting harder and harder to find. Last electromechanical baseball game by Williams. This one was shipped in by a customer from out of state for a light restoration.

Games features:

  • Pitching magnet to allow different types of pitches.
  • Adjustable bat strength dial inside coin door.
  • 3 different electronic sound boards for fun, continuous excitement.
  • Animated backglass with players running around the bases.

Game only partially worked when it came in. Legs and playfield glass were missing. Outside cabinet artwork has been repaired and touched up as needed. The paddles in the outfield that the ball hits for scoring have new custom made artwork decals on them. The side rails and coin door were cleaned and shined in place. Legs have been added. New fluorescent bulb was installed. Light panel board behind the backglass was literally falling apart, had to make repairs to save it.  Most of the light sockets on that panel were in poor shape. We had to replace lots of them and repair the remaining.

Bat mechanism has been removed, 46 years worth of grease & gunk build up has been cleaned off, then it has been lubed and reassembled and works great. Pitch motor was removed, disassembled and cleaned. New power cord has been installed for safety. Playfield was cleaned, polished & waxed. Running man mechanism was not working properly, had to make repairs and adjustments. Game was converted to LED bulbs. Sound boards needed to be recapped. Switches were cleaned and gapped. Original pitch flap (spring steel) was missing, ordered and installed new flap. Pitch and Bat buttons were removed, then removed rust, then buffed to a nice shine.
