SOLD – 1978 Bally Playboy (#4) (featuring a new Playfield Overlay and new clear plastic protector)

Gorgeous restored Bally Playboy. This features a beautiful playfield overlay and clear plastic protector.

Legs were replaced with a brand new gray set, new leg bolts and leg adjusters were installed. MPU board and Solenoid Driver board were replaced with new Alltek boards. Sound board, lamp board and rectifier boards were all upgraded for reliability. Game was vacuumed inside and washed inside and out. Exterior of cabinet was lightly touched up as needed. Original power cord was replaced for safety.

Playfield was disassembled and sanded down to bare wood. All round playfield inserts were drilled out and replaced with new inserts. Next playfield was coated with urethane then lightly sanded again. A total of three coats of urethane were applied. Then the playfield overlay was applied. All playfield plastics and metal were washed and polished. Game was converted to LED bulbs. All playfield posts were replaced with new. All flippers and bumpers were fully rebuilt with new parts above and below the playfield. New rubber bands were installed.

Front side of backglass was cleaned and polished. New chrome backglass lift tray was installed. Coin door was cleaned and polished. Lock down receiver was removed, cleaned then painted. Ball shooter housing was removed, cleaned and polished. Lock down bar and siderails were cleaned and polished. New piece of tempered playfield glass was installed. All games come with manual, wiring schematics and copy of the original sales flyer.

Game looks like new and plays strong and silky smooth.
